GENERAL INFORMATION

Carry in, carry out! Noble View has no trash disposal service. Please remove everything you bring to Noble View, including leftover food and trash.

Although there are two hand pump wells on the property, the water is not potable, so you’ll need to bring water for drinking and cooking. There are no showers, and outhouses are available for toileting.

All the buildings are heated by wood stoves, and firewood is provided at no cost.

The access road and parking lot are plowed during the winter months.

The outside fireplace and campfire areas will be shared with other day and overnight guests.

  • Care must be taken when using outside fireplace and campfire areas.
  • Do not burn trash; use only the firewood provided.
  • During increased fire hazard periods (outside burning bans), no fires will be permitted in any outside fireplaces or fire pits.
  • Campfires must be extinguished by midnight.

To make reservations, vist our Reservations page.

DOUBLE COTTAGE

Insulated and suitable for year-round occupancy, the newly-renovated double cottage is heated with wood stoves, and has electricity, two refrigerators, and two 6-burner propane gas ranges. There are no freezers.

The building accommodates eighteen people, with two two-person handicapped-accessible bedrooms on the first floor, and shared bedrooms on the second floor. Beds have five-inch thick mattresses, but linen and pillows are not provided, so you'll need to bring your own pillows, sheets, and blankets (or sleeping bags if you prefer).

The main floor houses a large kitchen with a dining room, and two living rooms with couches, tables and chairs, recessed lighting, and ceiling fans.

The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, silverware, glasses, cups, plates and bowls. However, until the bath house is completed and dishwashing stations are available for use, you’ll be doing your dishes using the three-container camp dishwashing method (see the Users' Guide), so you may wish to bring disposable plates, bowls, cups, and plastic utensils.

Please review and adhere to the Double Cottage Users' Guide.

Restaurants are available within five miles--see the Where to Eat page.

FARMHOUSE

Built in 1831, the rustic Farmhouse can accomodate a group of ten, with one two-bed room, one three-bed room, and a living room with two beds and space for several people on the floor. There's a roomy kitchen with a propane-fired two-burner hot plate, and hard-piped propane interior lighting.

This building is not insulated. There is a wood stove in the living room, so this room and the kitchen can be kept very warm. The bedrooms are somewhat cooler, but not uncomfortable.

A limited selection of pots and pans is provided. Please bring your own silverware and plates.

Restaurants are available within five miles--see the Where to Eat page.
